'The present is a GIF(T)' (2015) was a work displayed at Beams Festival in Chippendale. It captures live video recordings and plays them back sequentially in random positions. The work explores the 'phenomena' of ourselves, and gives us a chance to interact with strangers in abstract and indirect virtual ways. The interactive work allows its audience to add fun snippets of themselves for other festival goers to receive, creating a time-warped visual of the community. In doing so, people provide fleeting and etheral experiences of each other.
